New AMS Facility Empowers Medical Manufacturing Automation
A recently completed expansion of the AMS facilities in Cincinnati, Ohio, allows our team to expand our capabilities and service offerings for automated machines to local medical manufacturers. The 8,000-square-foot expansion will help support our growth and the increased need for medical manufacturing automation in Ohio.
“The launch of AMS Medical allows us to build on our reputation for delivering a refreshingly transparent approach to automation to our partners in the medical device and life sciences industry.” said Guy O’Gara, president and CEO of AMS.
The new facility features 12 additional assembly bays and conference space dedicated to building machines specifically for the medical device manufacturing industry.
Streamlining production and tapping outside resources is a necessity in the competitive medical device manufacturing field. For manufacturers, choosing partners with proven experience is vital. “At AMS, we offer guidance and support through our proven 17-step process for delivering machines on time and on budget,” O’Gara said.
Benefits of Medical Manufacturing Automation
Medical manufacturing automation offers a host of benefits, including reduced cycle times, increased efficiency and repeatability, and ease of meeting validation requirements.
Automated Machine Systems’ medical industry experience includes automation for the manufacture of wearable injectors, ventilator filters, catheters, single-use plastic instruments, biopsy probes, bariatric surgical equipment and more.
“We understand the challenges medical device manufacturers are facing right now,” O’Gara said. Automation can benefit these companies by providing consistent, repeatable results. Plus, manufacturers who take advantage of automated processes find it much easier to meet compliance standards and reporting regulations.
